The hostel was opened on 01.09.2017 and has a total of 12 rooms in 8 apartments and 2 apartments as 2-bed rooms. The new building offers an extremely modern and chic living ambience, directly next to the Theater in der Reithalle.
The city of Coburg named this hostel in the heart of Coburg old town after entrepreneur and honorary citizen of Coburg, Mr. Otto Waldrich, in grateful thanks. The Studentenwerk Oberfranken is responsible for renting out rooms and supervision on behalf of the city of Coburg. According to the will of the founder, preference is given to students of engineering.
